The D@mned Soul quest

Do you have to join a party to pass this quest? There is always a bunch of people who attack this mob but I never get any credit. Should I just skip this quest as I have a hard to getting into a party?

Yes, it's FAR too hard to solo. You don't need to do the quest, especially if you max your Survivors Reputation and get the gear, which are as good as the quest rewards, the wand may even be better, I don't recall.

Credit for the kill goes to the person(or PT/Raid) that hits it first. If you ask the group that is trying to do this you should be invited pretty fast since you can have 24 people in a raid.

FYI stay off the huge rock. If someone on that rock grabs agro it will not be able to follow and reset.
