League/ Empire balanced?

I remember back in the day a couple thousand years ago when i used to play WoW the alliance was always getting whipped by the horde on my server. All the battlegrounds were dominated by the horde.

Now, i've leveled characters to 10 on both factions and i have to say i really like the league starting zone more (The noob island then shipped off to the big city) as apposed to the empire starting area (Quest till lvl 10 in the city then go to the military district)

But im worried that the factions are unbalanced just as they were on some servers in WoW. Does anyone have an opinion on the strength of both factions on this server?

Hard to say really. Might be the timezone thing.
As far as I noticed (even though I'm not quite yet on HL) balance moves during the day from one side to another.
Still I think that Empire might be more popular due to fact they look better (aside of gibberlings which just own in looks).

I arrived in Holylands yesterday and it seems as if the Empire has been in our League camps/territory often to a point where we can't do any of our quests without dying even with our flag lowered.

No, it IS. This situation exists for both sides, Empire and League. Questing is basically impossible without a full group, and even then, once the other side knows there's a big group out there, everyone converges and you're dead. Add in the fact that level disparity > all, and more than half of the dedicated PvP'ers are packing Perfume (making them ez-mode PvP) well, a blind <insert insulting label here> could see there's a problem with this.

And yes, the flag is pointless. Everyone has Banners of War. Any statement that says you can opt-out of PvP in Allods is a lie.

Oh, and I wouldn't expect it to change. Listen to this interview and you'll see quite clearly, they PLANNED for it to cost $1.35/hr to play. THEY PLANNED IT!!!! /wtfzomgbbq!

I had fun parking in your main camp yesterday. Although, I didnt have a war banner sadly X_X. Was so many people with flags off that I couldn't kill grrr! But, yeah its give and take both sides have their times of day when they control the field in holylands.

Go kill 20 of any mob and you'll pretty much have a war banner. Yes, they're that common.

is there anyway to quest from lvl 22 on without going to the holylands? I dont mind getting ganked (Been ganked over a million times in stranglethorn vale in WoW ) but i rly rly despise the FoD debuff. Is there anywhere to go where you can lvl without getting killed and having all your stats taken down to 0% for 2 hours? (Honestly have no clue why the devs did this, just absolutely a gamebreaker for me)

To the best of my knowledge (and someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure) the answer to your question is no. You -must- go to & through the Holy Lands to progress.

You can fully quest up to lvl 23 at Tenebra. At first it seems as if there are little quests there but some of them require you to find items in the field that will trigger quest chains.

Ah, good to hear the War Banners are working as well as I thought they would at utterly destroying the fun of the game for all players. Hopefully something changes, people wanting to get over 23 get nothing but headaches, and PvPer have to spend half an hour hunting up a War Banner before they can have their fun ganking lowbies. Everybody loses.
