First of all, you're missing quite a few rubies there. Based on your talent points, you're level 49, at that level you should have a minimum of 45 rubies, just from leveling normally and doing the WM's along the way.

Tornado is mediocre at best in my opinion. Since it can't be precast, that's a 7 second cast time where you're not moving. I can't envision a good time to use Tornado in mass PVP, and its usefulness is limited in 1v1 as well, since you would need to already be a good distance from your target in the first place.

R1 Storm hits for like no damage. The visuals for this spell is cool, that's about it? Snake's Strike seems like a wasted ruby: you need to be in melee range to use it, and if you're trying to kite a melee there are other ways to do so (refreshing potion/speed pot).

Seems like you're sacrificing a lot of important rubies. R3 Predatory Urge, R3 Lightning Master, R3 Channeled Lightning, more Stat Rubies?

I've found Tornado to be useful in only one situation.

Mass PvP. Lets say WH. One tough-to-kill enemy left at a checkpoint. You've got 4-5 of your team members beating on him but he's running around making it hard to hit him. Roots are on cooldown. Bee Swarm is on cooldown. The key you keep Vortex on is broken. The batteries in your wireless mouse are dead so you can't move Vortex to a new hotkey and use it instead. Enter: TORNADO.

Tornado is crap, unfortunately. It looks badass and I used it for leveling, but it's crap. You'd be better off spamming Lightning to knock the enemy off balance and get a Searing Pain combo going.

To be fair, you can get Tornado to do some pretty amazing damage when you buff it fully.

That's the problem though: you need to buff it fully to make it count. You need to spend 10 seconds spamming Vortex, then 7 seconds waiting for the Tornado to pass because it's a dumb channeling spell (also, you need to stand still for 7 seconds and if anything scratches you or the enemy moves out of range, byebye half the damage).

That's 17 seconds when you're getting zero knockdowns, which means zero Open Wounds ticks, which means zero Shreds. Not worth it.

Speaking of cool visuals, the one thing I REALLY miss is Lightning Rod. Hilariously useless, but boy was it awesome looking :D It was a must have for any great dance party!

I've always liked Snake as a panic snare against melees in PvP. We don't exactly have that many ways to make distance since we lost the knockdowns, and when the warrior is slowed down you might actually afford to stop and throw a couple of Vortexes for a Searing Pain. I think it's well worth one ruby for PvP builds.

If a geared melee class gets close enough to me to hit me in the first place, I'm typically stunlocked and dead within seconds. Even a Bark Skin/Snake's Strike combo usually isn't enough to get out of range. And again, that's only possible if you can manage to get out of the stunlock.

If an ungeared melee class gets close enough to hit me, I typically dodge or get tickled by their attacks, pop a Refreshing Potion and kite them to death.

In either instance, I find Snake's Strike to be unnecessary. Yes, it's only one ruby, but you could get 3% Wisdom or 3% Intelligence instead with that one ruby.

Typically when I fight warriors, I either pop Bark Shield at first and let warriors burn their cd's, or if I'm able to I fear them as they charge me (obviously if you dont have summie/warrior reinc, you can't do this), then put down grip and start kiting. Warriors typically only have 1 gap closer, so once you eliminate their charge, you're relatively safe. It's the warriors with pally SOJ/scout blink attack/nightstrike trinket/or psi TK pull that you have to worry about. If I get caught in a stun lock, martyr's protection the moment they bash, then speed pot or refreshing potion to gain some distance. This is under the assumption you're geared enough to withstand their short cc's (charge/kick/racial/etc.) As long as I dont die in that initial burst, NB + renew will get me back up to full.

Yeah, my Warden's only a couple weeks old. Just got some WH epic gear, still not geared enough to withstand a whole lot of melee punishment. Previously being a Warrior has lended some advantage though, as I know them inside and out.

My post was more in reference to melee Scouts. They either rapefase me or tickle me.

If its full PVP, Id spec with at least R1 RIP for its silence alone. Rip/Silence is one of our strongest anti caster PVP abilities (argueably our strongest against casters, not including potions)

Skill/Ruby progression. I worked on getting my pet strong first, then moved into caster .
