Postby lordjeremiahs » Sun Apr 15, 2012 2:55 pm

and im running a melee ward using this build:
http://www.allodswiki.ru/talents#5_a3b3 ... Z012368-_1

Q: call of the wild not worth it?
Q: Bark Shield for the fero debuff?
Q: Heavy Paws? with vulnerability im sure bear's blow would hit so hard.

*I am no expert, these are my opinions*

Imo, Call of the Wild is optional. I take it because it is a decent dmg increase.

Bark Shield: If you are going melee then it is a must. You are squishy so you need all the defense you can get(This includes dodge rubies and maybe even parry rubies)

Heavy Paws: Makes bears blow useful? I don't know too much about these, never used them as I build hybrid so I didn't take all the melee skills

FYI your build isn't melee it is hybrid, you would be using lion's blow after Rip so it is kinda of melee, but you are using lightning/vortex for the SP.

Since you are hybrid, I would advise you take aura of regeneration as you WILL be using a lot of mana.(you can take points out of boar's blow as you don't use it for anything but the knockdown, so R3 is insignificant)

Lastly, AV/AE will save your life. Renew is a decent heal but AV is so much better.

A: I don't like CotW. The damage the clones do isn't worth the time of day. The only reason I used to love it is because they nom nommed the barriers on a mage and Aegis on a summy. Well now mage barriers are not a problem and summoners are overpowered anyway, so it's not worth 2 rubies.

A: Bark shield should be in every build imo.

A: I don't like bear's blow, therefore I don't like the rubies for it either.

Also, you don't have vodka. Bad warden! Bad!

Better yes, but you still need the rubies for it . Meddley Mastery in the in LS tree, to the right :)

And dodge > parry imo.

Call of the Wild is a very minimal DPS increase in PVE, only useful against a few classes in PVP. Any decent summoner would Imitate Death and all the clones disappear. They are helpful against mages, more so for reflections than for barriers this patch.

Wardens have always been weak against heavy hitting melee classes, so if you plan on doing any PVP on a regular basis, Bark Shield can be invaluable.

I only personally use Bear's Blow so that I can stay competitive with warriors on AOE pulls in PVE. It's not very useful in PVP, due to its incredibly short range, not to mention going within melee range of multiple enemies in PVP is almost always certain death. I would not waste 3 rubies on Heavy Paws.

I wouldn't bother with any of rubies listed above until you've grabbed at least some of the stat rubies. I have 9% INT and 6% WIS stat rubies. At level 51, I am receiving a total of 122 extra stats from those rubies. Why people willingly throw away so many stats is beyond me. Look at the amount of stats you receive when you upgrade a piece of gear. Upgrading a 51 blue gloves to 51 epics increases your offensive stats by 8.

Tbh they were easy until they stole our knockdowns. The only class that was tricky were the OP holy paladins.

During the OP knockdown patch everything was easy.

Except Rasar.
