The primary focus of the suggestions is the raiding astral ship. All the features of the current ship design would carry over to the raider class but with the same parts installed the raider would be slower and less maneuverable(Better armed and armored though).
Added features for the raid ship are:
- 2nd reactor to power goodies to follow.
Hangar deck for boarding/repairing smaller ships listed below.
Grappling turrets to recover craft or prevent the escape of target ships.
Goblin flight crew to tend to the small craft.
New option on the Visor for balancing the reactors and switching which reactor is running each set of systems
The smaller craft would run on batteries charged by the raid ship and don't have the ability to jump from sector to sector. They would be piloted by the controls you normally use to move around. All would have upgrades for battery, turbine, rudder, and motor.
- FIGHTER
- The name pretty well explains it. Features an upgradable cannon and shield generator. Won't be able to take many hits though.
- This is for stealth attacks on main ships.
- grappling cable to connect to the ship your boarding. Upgrades to power draining functions with surge protectors to prevent/reduce damage from overloading reactor.
cloaking device: Makes you invisible for a short time but slows you down. Upgrades for longer time and less of a speed reduction.
Cargo hold to store your stolen loot(returned to original owner if destroyed).
Optional upgrade Gremlins that damage the ship your connected to for a detraction but tie up cargo slots.
