Your Agility stat determined your chance to dodge, block, and parry. When you get attacked it works something like this:Call the percent listed next to your agility stat "
X"
- You have X chance to dodge 100% of the damage
- If you fail to dodge, you then have 2X chance to block 50% of the damage. (blocks only occur if you have a shield equipped)
- If you fail to block, you have 4X chance to parry 25% of the damage.
Edit: this is fail. It's ...correct enough to give you an idea of how thigns work, but my numbers are all wrong. My bad.Edit Edit: My original numbers were wrong, but the concept still stands... I think? As of the 3.0 patch, players are now able to prevent magic damage using agility. As far as I know, nobody has thoroughly tested this yet. I can't say specifically how it works.
It should also be noted that your armor will mitigate the listed percentage of damage that makes it through your blocks / parries.
If I'm wrong about any of that, please call me out. It's all a bit complex, and it's been a while since I tested it thoroughly.
