Here is my Icy Lightning build that I am currently using, some may wonna change the one of the rubies for the AOE ice freeze or whatever but most I guess have over 50 rubies already considering i dont have judge or class quest or 2 from GT or 1 from new WM :)

this is at lvl 51 with all talents used including 1 extra from scroll, hope you find this usefull :)

i got reflections for the same reason everyone does - with 19k mana it gives you a free 7k restore every min <----- Epic for saving cash on myrrhh

I don't understand why people are maxing out Frostbolt and Thunderbolt.

Shouldn't it be one or the other?

r3 barrier is worthless unless you have the cs talents to get r3 stonewall
r2 stone wall = same amount of barriers as r3 barrier, but absorbs significantly more

asteroid uses 3x as much mana as comet, and does about 25% less damage; so it's not worth getting unless you want it for the aoe

shocking grasp dot rubies(can't think of name) is practically worthless. the damage is near null, grasp cost a fortune in mana, and the dot disappears if the target moves. you really gain nothing having those rubies

almost all level 50-51 gear has a ton of wisdom, really doubt those rubies are worth getting

why didn't you opt for positive returns(i think the lightning ruby is called this?)? without it, you'll likely never use thunderbolt as it does the same damage as fire arrow with triple the mana cost

with the change to reflections, mana barriers are a must for anything that cast magic. the interruptions are unbearable if you get hit

with the mana cost of the new shocking grasp, the only time i find myself even touching it is when i have conduit. therefor, i'm not sure if the 3 rubies for 10/20/30% more damage at low health is a significant enough boost to justify getting them

you have the ice rubies that increase comet/asteroid damage, but they have a 33/66/100% chance to not break icy grave if the target has xx% hp. yet, you don't have icy grave to utilize this lol

you, like many others, seem to be completely neglecting aop for some reason. i can't be sure why everyone is really doing this, as without our heal, it's just free damage

try this:

http://ru.allodsbase.com/calc#a60x203v3 ... 3oq08u5h40

uses same talents and less rubies

offers:
more defense
more dps from the lightning tree
more dps from aop
lesser mana cost, and more damage from comet
icy grave

loses:
asteroid's aoe
irrelevant amounts of wisdom
30% damage increase from shocking grasp at >25% hp
a dot that hits 4k and removes itself when target moves

because, with the entrophy change you'll run out of entrophies just spamming one element. this, overall, will give lower dps

Oh, seems nice, which stats do you recommend getting for this build?
Pure luck, and wis/int/perc from gears?

max perc/int(but don't sacrifice perc for int), around 50% luck, and as much wisdom as your gear offers should be enough

I don't understand? Frostbolt and Thunderbolt don't affect entropies at all?

you're right, they don't

there's 3 new rubies on each tree. these rubies reduce the cast time of fire arrow/frostbolt/thunderbolt and their mana cost by xx% when you use an entrophy of their specific element. so, for example:

you use icy comet with these rubies, each comet gives a stack of 3 buffs

this means the next 3 frostbolts are near instant with little mana cost

these buffs are given from any skill that uses entrophies if you have the rubies, and they boost your dps significantly

i can't think of their names, and i'm not on my mage, but they use the same sword icon searing/frosty/thunderous advantage use to use

So i cant just go pure on somthing when adding stats? And balance out the rest with gears?

I could go pure perc and forcus on getting wis/int/luck gears?
