Now I'm a pretty geared Summoner (a3 standarts that is) with a couple relics including wand and I healed just a few allods so far (seen 3 of thenew ones) and I gotta say damageoutput wise it's decent, I mean we ran with a pally tank on both occasions but I had my warriors and a bloody freaking meleescout with agrorubies pull stuff quite often but they managed quite well.

The dpschecks can be a HUGE challenge for ungeared parties whatsoever and from having had a party lacking quite a lot of aoedps for the other 2 allods I can honestly say it takes AGES to clear some trashpulls, if you then wipe on bosses the allods can take an hour + very easy.

But really hard I wouldn't say, at least not the inner sectors.

Mainproblem: casters.

ALL OF THEM.

With most people still rocking 1handers of l3 or less there is nowhere near enough mana to sustain through those a4 fights (okay minus manaheap summoners in acid/healspec)

Well, ofc it's our gear. We went with a party full of people with A2 gear + it was one of the newer Allods, so that was new too. It took us a long time to kill the monsters, the adds are tough. Guess i'll be doing A3 the next couple of weeks to collect some gear for A4 :P.

A4 is just like A3, except the transition is easier.

A3 requires A2 legend and myths.

You're also in the easiest sectors... it's going to get much, much harder. Go go do some a3!

Evilor ran a party today.

We had two members who were moderately A3 geared and four members who were decently A2 geared at best.

We got White Mountain (bunch of goblins, ogres, and treants). We made it through the first two bosses without a huge amount of difficulty. It was definitely challenging, and we relied on some creative strategies to progress, but it is definitely doable.

The server was going down for maintenance so we jumped off the Allod after only one attempt on the third boss. I think the third (out of an assumed four) boss was our gearcheck moment. Tons of adds and heals on the boss.

Don't necessarily need gear to start doing A4, just need some smart people and some good strategy. To finish some allods? Yeah, you'll probably need some heavy gear.

A4 is designed better than the previous a3 in so many ways (i.e. debuffs, aoe reduction, death limit) and makes it so you can keep trying the allod over and over just like a2 except vamped to a lv 50 scale.

Compared with a3, a4 is way nicer.

Loot system is amazing too. Now you can take 4 clothies with you in the same party

So far A4 much easier than A3 ever was previously... my stats are balls at the moment and still rocking some pretty good dps out there

Ya, I think it's remarkably well designed, and also strikes a good balance between gear requirements and strategy requirements...

Some bosses are cake, but others (like the last boss on White Mountain) require good survivability, or a set minimum amount of DPS to complete.
