Paladins and more

Hello ladies and gents .. names jim brand new to ALLODS, but not new to mmo games

2 years of guild wars and 4 years of game called Perfect World “ PW I was an end game toon but was also very good “not trying to float own boat” but having 3 toons at end game and with all the patches and so called new things that weren’t helping. I said “enough was enough” and moved on , PW is very similar to this free to play pay to “cough “win joking it was item base game, extremely similar to this one. I wasn’t sure what game to play and had a lot of ppl telling me to go TOR or wait for GW2 and other games, but I was in love with PW and I did a search to find a game ppl compared to it ,,, up pops up allods and I never heard of this game but said what the hell… ok theres the basics of how I got here and most of it trival and probly pointless to say but o well
I made a paladin crusader, can’t say why I made it but I did. normally I’m not the tank kind of guy but prefer the glass cannon builds, but I made this toon and figure I going to stick with it . took me awhile to get the hang of game / toon and im by far still a noob and learning best I can I think hardest parts were just getting use to a different game and the way movement / skills react ..Etc. but I also believe the paladin has a few things like barriers and such that took me a minute to understand as well…
I have a few questions about paladin’s and about game play and would love to have anyone and everyone’s opinions “FIRST THING I WILL SAY IS… I WILL NOT BE ASKING WHATS THE BEST PVP BUILD OR BEST TANK BUILD” like in every game; skill, personal opinion, internet speed ,and how often you go afk depends on this and I personally will find my own
My first question is .. Quests I have been screaming along pretty fast and relized im lvling faster then then other ppl and I don’t even play as much as them… well besides I have the tome thing “+exp” I also have been skiping a lot of quests … I was talking to someone about this and they kind of yelled at me saying Don’t skip any quests “ personally im a grinder/farmer I rather kill 500 mobs in 1 area then spend all day looking for some “stupid rock” so I skip things like that and im wondering if this is OK or does this affect my endgame “I do understand some quests give rubies or prizes” but I was under the assumption that these quests were kinda like important and would be forced on you or would be kind of HIGHLITED,
My Second Question “last for today ill post more once I get feedback if there is any…. “yes ..omg im a cashshopper shoot me” I don’t mind spending a little on a game if its fun and its not a big deal I put some money on the game and bought items that lookd to be important “not vanity” I bought 6 lvl 6 runes and I bought the “blue” 2 earing thing also bought the green, blue, and orange martyr rank things,,, besides the runes and the orange martyr thing rest stuff pretty cheap but then just yesterday was talking to someone higher lvl and they mentiond I wasted money cuz this stuff I bought u get free at end game “think he said lvl 45” “hes talking about the orange martyr skill “removes all movment debuffs” like I said I not mad I wasted money if u do get it at another lvl I just wish I knew about that “ so question is are there items such as this that I should buy and should not buy “ I would rather spend my money on a item that will make me better and is the only way to get the item ,, also for all I know that guy didn’t know what he was talking about .. but im noob

Well thanks and sorry for the long post if there’s any answers or just plain advice for a noob paladin please post … the names Jim my gaming name is SecondToNone on most games I play and if I find this game entertaining we will probly see each other in the future

The XP you get will die down dramatically. While not all quests are storyline driven, some of them do provide reputation for better gear, though more often than not if you feel like skipping, you can. Also, stop using scrolls until you hit the mid-30s. The return of investment is much higher there.

My Second Question “last for today ill post more once I get feedback if there is any…. “yes ..omg im a cashshopper shoot me” I don’t mind spending a little on a game if its fun and its not a big deal I put some money on the game and bought items that lookd to be important “not vanity” I bought 6 lvl 6 runes and I bought the “blue” 2 earing thing also bought the green, blue, and orange martyr rank things,,, besides the runes and the orange martyr thing rest stuff pretty cheap but then just yesterday was talking to someone higher lvl and they mentiond I wasted money cuz this stuff I bought u get free at end game “think he said lvl 45” im not mad I wasted money “hes talking about the orange martyr skill “removes all movment debuffs” like I said I not mad I wasted money if u do get it at another lvl I just wish I knew about that “ so question is are there items such as this that I should buy and should not buy “ I would rather spend my money on a item that will make me better and is the only way to get the item ,, also for all I know that guy didn’t know what he was talking about .. but im noob

The martyr skills are arguably not worth the money unless you're hardcore PVP, but they're not for free, and a full set of 6s is fine. I'd probably need a list to tell you what was and what wasn't cost-effective.

Why am I still here?!

If you are not afraid to buy something in item shop then most likely you will have no problem with gold and that means you will be able to use martyr skill even in pve content. Runes, 2nd earring slot and martyr skills are definitely not a waste of gold.

Rep gear is just a blue gear. Nothing special. You dont need to max reputation just to get access to special low level gear because there are no special rep gear items. You should be only concern about rep gear if you run around in green gear 5 levels below your level :-)

Lv6 runes alone help you a lot. You can check auction house from time to time and buy CHEAP (5-50g) green/blue gear and just forget about rep gear. Of course it will cost you extra. You will save some time but you will have to pay for it.

You will have to complete world mysteries quests. Most quests that are a part of world mysteries have special icon but some quest (i.e. some quests in darkwater) that will start world mystery chain do not have such icon and when you miss them it might be really hard to figure out where exactly you should go and what exactly you need to do to complete world mystery.

Normal quests (not a part of world mystery) can reward you with a special items (unique trinket, epic wand etc) but none of them are required when you reach max level.

No, don't go that far back! Just your current zone, finish up. You're already overleveled if you're at 32 and in Eljune, which is a 26-29 zone.

hi , its me again.

i am now lvl 51. i just reached the cradle and got my cradle gear and am going to work on getting Witch gear then work on my astral gear... so far i have been doing just fine with my builds but now that end game bosses / pvp are going to be done in groups and not solo "been mainly solo up till now" i trying out diffrent builds i find

my question is ... holly pally stats "str fines expern and luck" they stay the same or similar to how a pysical person would right? and also biggest question is when i player info myself my mellee dmg is high and magic is very very low ... im confuzzed a little on the whole holly pally is my dmg still pysical?

Depends on the attack. Holy attacks obviously depend on magic.
