I was using rubies in lightning/pet....and a few people told me I should be a melee druid because they do more damage. So I switched...I didn't like it. I seemed off balanced, I never did like melee chars...so then I got another water of death and switched back. But I put my rubies in the wrong spots, apparently. I'm not good at doing combos and hardly know what they are even for my class. I can't afford to spend all the money I make in this game on water of deaths. Can anyone please give me a good caster/pet build and tell me what to do for "combos" or whatever....a friend of mine explained some of it to me but who knows if whatever builds I get from this post will match what he said.
I need a caster/pet build.....and I'm looking to be able to get in medley master too and rubies in renew if I can, I'm a sucker for healing. But don't want to sacrifice anything important to max out the renew.
I'm level 46 and have done around 4 maybe 5 world mysteries I can't say how many rubies I have so far because the game is down for maintenance. But that will give you some idea of how many I have.
And when I reset for a second time back to lightning, when I was in my talent tree I noticed it was hard for me to get to the lightning flash or whatever with enough remaining points to get to rank 3, any pointers on how to get rank 3 in that without wasting talent points on crap I don't want since you have to spend so many to unlock it?
I have seen a lot of builds but many people say no that's not good, no that's not right you should have done this or that, etc..I'm so confused.
Pics of builds will help me so much too, thank you to those who help this poor desperate noob, lol

I am a Pet tanker/Caster Shaman on Tensess server, and I find that wardens are the most flexible class to use, you can't really go wrong with any builds, it all depends on what you like and what skills you wanna take, but you don't wanna take a ruby or skill your not gonna use alot or frequently.
For renew to be maxed out, you gotta take the stat "Faith" into consideration, since it ties directly to renew. If your faith is low, (like mine) your be healing alot lower in situations in which wound complexity is at it's highest making the rubys and talents into renew kinda useless. But with the proper rubys and the right balance into perc and faith, you can have a pretty decent healing spell that lasts 16 secs with an immediate heal at the beginning of the duration, and since it ticks once every 2 secs with an additional tick at the beginning, that adds up to a total of 8 ticks! And with the CD of natural balance lowered, it can also help heal you since you have your pet with you all the time, and it doesn't tie to faith. But as for maxing it out, go ahead and do so, alot of builds are very flexible with renew, especially caster/pet tanker builds.
But as for Flash lightning, maybe your thinking of power explosion? Or maybe the upgrade to lightning strike, lightning flash? Well power explosion can be pretty useful for occasional burst damage, but I personally would take r1 since the other rank is too far away to worry about. And as for Lightning Flash, I wouldn't take it at all, yes it has an increase in damage, but the rank you can get now, you'll have a lower chance of proc'ing unbalanced, which can have you do 100% more dmg with maul or mangle and an instant open wound proc, which is a warden's bleed (my favorite btw
).
But as for other people's "opinions" thats "their" opinions, your warden is after all "your" warden, If you've played all the way to 46, you should know how a warden works, all it's weaknesses, strengths, and talents, and a few builds or 5 (yes we have alot of builds). But comming from me, the warden you wanna be is your own personal choice, some players might put in their 2 cents worth, but at the end of the day, its all about what "you" want.
