EW and GT

Hi fellow mages.
I got somewhat bored by my mage recently so respeced to EW.
I got my stats where they are right for my play style through testing. One thing i can not test freely thou is how much wisdom will I need if I go to GT. Any thoughts?

I'm not really sure, but i'm guessing at least above 400

I tested some more and it turns out i can still revert to a Fire Arrow + Lava Spill if i switch gear to revert my stats. That gives me around +20-25% dps compared to the EW without changing the build. At first i thought it's still a compromise since i don't have the instant cast rubies but then figured i could push my wisdom so low (no instacast meteors to eat mana) that the dps is the same.

But I still prefer to use my EW since spamming FA+LS isn't what i call fun.
Right now i have settled my stats to:
80% luck
30% intelligence
410 wisdom
19% perception
that's at 46.

Thoughts are appreciated.

Forget it.

Those "EW" Mages are usually lowest on the DPSmeter usually next to full healers. At least on ours, UNLESS cashshopped and geared to the max.

I'm almost subscribed to FoD. Will try with restating and if not will just respec each week because that's what i find fun in atm.

Ew takes too long to charge up those entropies to dish out maximum damage. It seems like you sacrificed a lot of int to boost up your wisdom for the EW build. In all honesty, using Firearrow/lava spill combo using the int you can obtain when you drop your wisdom would probably deal out more damage than EW, and that's not including instant casts.

Did some more testing and razorjr is absolutely right. I can safely restat by switching second earing/patron and VoL and then FA + LS does almost the same dps on a lvl 47 red ring dummy as a scout.

afaik for ew to be effective in pvp plates, maybe around 550 wis

for gt, ew shouldnt be your main dps for gt. it should be your entropy dumping spell.

Well i was in GT yesterday and did horribly (with a restat so i can revert to FA+LS and meteors). I've done twice more dps with less gear and runes on previous tries. So i'm dumping the whole idea of restating and so on. When i need fun I'll use my alts or be on FoD.

My next question i have a problem is the correct amount of perception needed for GT. Any thoughts ?

510 wisdom and 970 int rocks in pvp with ew
ofc im perma wisdom elixir but thats beside the point
