how does this spell work, ive watched a video of some guy using what i think wasprism lighnting and its a channeled nuke where it hits instanlty but continous to channel, the visual was of some kind of crystal above the caster head shooting out lightning

is the description just buggy or is this how the spell works the desc just says 3 second cast aoe nuke

The spell is a channeled nuke. You pick a target and channel the spell at it. The target, and every enemy within 10yrds of the target, get hit for a hefty sum. As well, the primary target is also blinded for the duration of the spell(broken screen effect)

From what I understand prism lightning is not channeled and is an AOE (it can be precast). Pulse lightning is channeled.

Ah, yea sorry, was thinking of something else at the time. Yes, it is not channeled, but it is NOT an area AoE. The AoE is around the target.

Channeled is when the caster is forced to concentrate on the spell for it to continue working. If you tell your char to do another spell, or more, or your char gets interrupted or "disabled" then the spell will stop working.

The one shooting out big lightning bolts out of the crystal thing, i see pulse lightning in their aswell, but it looks like hes shooting little dots, i really want this spell it looks badass
