End game content for a new player

Hey guys,
I just started to play last night, I'm really enjoying the community here. I was just curious my friend told me the game was based off of "ships" at the end and I looked farther into it and it seems that's what makes this game different. You get to create your own ship as for end game content.
I was just curious is their dungeon raids similar to "you know what mmo" where you can fight as a normal player or is everything based around ship fights?

I know there are a lot of threads out there just wanted a quick answer and maybe a link on what end game is like before i invest hours on leveling.

Astral ships end-game only have the purpose of taking you to an instance. Think of it as driving your car down to the store.

While you can do pvp on astral ships, it rarely happens. Astral Ships are mainly just here for transportation purposes.

Well, I did state you can do pvp on astral ships. I don't know what other things you can do with an Astral Ship until this next patch rolls out, so ya. Whatever Cnote said haha
