Hi, im Crosis. I have been playing allods for some time now and decided to play Bard class when Avilon server appeared, then later merged with Yul, forming the current server Sihal. I rly enjoy playing this game, especially with the many friends i made while playing it. About this class, Bard its a great class to play because you can do a lot of dps while also providing buffs and CC for the party. Last patch (4.03) didnt change nothing for us except the fix of some bugs.In this guide i will focus on a PVE build for both astral and raiding, so lets take a look at my PVE build.
Dissonance/Disharmony (r3) - its bard spam ability, has no cooldown but a high energy cost.
Elegy/Cantata (r3) - its an passive ability called song, it does damage to all enemies in 20 yards radius. This will be 1 of your 2 songs that you can use at same time.
Protective tune (r1) - increases your hp, removes all CC and decreases incoming damage for a short period of time when you receive a fatal blow. This ability is a lifesaver in PVE, in case you get agro from enemys, it will give you enoug time to heal yourself or give time for the healer to react before you die.
Nocturne (r2) - this is a song that heal your party over time and also puts a buff in ea party member. nocturne buff will be used as soon as 1 of thoses players reaches 40% health and it will provide a bigger heal to that player.
Flying Blade (r3) - this is bard heavy hit skill, only bad thing its the random cooldown on it, varies from 10 sec to 30 sec.
Power Chord (r2) - power chord boost dissonance/disharmony damage and also puts a dot on target, stacks up to 3.
Musical Notation (r3) - this ability provides you with 4 buffs, 1 of the main assets this class have. You can change between buffs, depending on what your party needs.
Timpani (r2) - timpani gives your next dissonance/disharmony aoe damage, this will be your main combo for aoe pulls. Also increases disharmony energy cost by 40%.
Dancing Blade/ Raving Blade (r3) - your main damage ability, it has a cast time so that means you cant move while using it.
Muse (r3) - when you cast muse, it gives you a buff for 30 sec that decreases all your cooldowns and cast times by 50%. Its an awesome skill that boost your dps by a lot.
Overture (r1) - this is bard dispel, its usefull in some raiding bosses (like Sarn from GT and 2nd boss in dragon wing from DC) where you need to use it to remove some healing buffs from this enemies.
Encore (r2) - encore reset all your cooldowns except his own cd and shadow duet. its great to use it after your muse is gone, so you can reset muse cd and use it again. Uses 5 tears of dragon and cd also depends on the quality of the tears you using.
Shadow Duet (r1) - summon a copy of you to an specific location that runs the same songs you had when casted, its mainly used for dps because its allow you to have 2 cantatas running at same time. Uses 4 tears of dragon.
On Dissonance grid i picked all stats boost rubies (Perfect Ear and Virtuoso ) and all rubys that increase your overall dps, like Second Fiddle and Passionate Performance . After those i got both Combat Tune (decrease raving blade cd and cast time) and Grand Finale to boost raving blade damage and also Astral Blade for 60% more damage on flying blade. Last rubies on this grid was Unison ( puts a dot on enemy target every time you succefully hit him with raving blade, flying blade or your racial skill. stacks 9 times and last 20 secs) and Lullaby ( important CC, especially for astral runs).
On Elegy grid i picked Temperament , Exaltation and Melpomene for your energy boost. With them you will have an easier time managing your energy and skills, especially when you need to use disharmony that has a big energy cost. Also picked Rerveberation ( increased damage by 3% for ea song you using and you also get and reberation effect, that increases your hp by 15%, when you use fervor on another party member), Protective Overtunes ( increase armor by 6% for ea song you using) and Funeral March ( increases all your astral damage by 100% when enemy targer reaches 25% hp). For last on this grid, i got Proctective Rhythm and Modulation to reach Aria (its a song that gives you an aria effect, stacks up to 20. Each stack gives your next power chord or disharmony extra damage). Aria its another song and you will alternate this with nocturne depending on what your party needs ( more dps or off heals).
Acoustic Barrier Grid
Acoustic Barrier grid, i picked mostly stats boost rubies ( Bully and Child of Fortune ) and Resonance to increase your physical damage ( raving blade) by 15%. The reason why i got 2 empty rubies in this grid its because you can save 1 rubie by doing it and also all other rubies leading to then ones meantioned above arent needed for pve.
Start with power chord and build 3 stacks, then cast muse and use flying blade and raving blade, spam disharmony between raving blade cd. When muse buff is gone you have the option to use encore to recast muse again right away or you can save it for last 25% hp when your funeral march rubies come into action, increasing your cantata, flying blade and disharmony by 100%, this decison will always depends on how long the fight will last, also you want to use shadown duet during funeral march. Always try to keep your power chord and unison stacks at max, so you can maximize your dps.
In aoe pulls you cast timpani then followed by disharmony for aoe damage + cantata. Use raving blade while waiting for energy to do combo again.
Bard its a class with a bit of everthing and that what make this class an high priority for astral partys and raids. i rly like playing it and i hope you guys enjoyed my guide.
