That wasn't meant to happen...

That wasn't meant to happen...

So, I'm messing around in the arena, trying out Overture.

I cast it on a healer. Divine Foresight pops off.

OK. I cast it again for fun, just as the healer pops Holy Shield.

Overture clears Holy Shield just as it pops

After testing, I've found that you can't Overture a healer already in bubble, but if you're lucky or have a fast enough cast, you can Dispel the bubble as it's being activated.

After careful testing, if you do manage to get Overture going, you can get it to trigger just as the bubble activates and clear it automatically, meaning no time for them to heal.

Furthermore, I was testing this on someone at least 10 levels higher than me at one point. This is me testing it on a healer who had it off CD.

Interesting. I guess that only having R1 would help in giving a larger window to pre-empt the healer...

Nice find!

Does anyone besides me even bother doing this or informing others of its existence? I pulled it off 4 times in WH and I got the impression that people thought I was hacking or cheating.

Healers...assume your position and apply the lube.

Now we shall see this weird magic of healers running away from ppl (the bad ones of course)

One of my favourite things to do. Throw a flying blade at a healer you've stunned/blinded/annoyed in some other significant way and they'll bubble out of it by reflex.

When our team is bursting down a full healer I'll keep casting overture instead of out and out damaging them. Bubble has other applications beside the obvious immunity & chance to heal.. a target that is impervious to damage for 10s will either lose the focus of your team or will leave them standing around getting attacked as they wait for it to fade.
