New Add-on: DoTTimer v1.4.1

Postby ciuine » Wed Jun 01, 2011 5:44 pm

A friend asked me to create a tracking tool for DoTs, so I took it a wee-bit further than that. This tracks all buffs/debuffs cast by the player on all targets.

Customizable with Config Window via (/cw);

Drag and drop without ConfigWindow accessed via /dttdnd.

Download; Curse Download - DoTTimer

Update v1.3;
    Updated for 2.0.06+.

Update v1.2;
    For ConfigWindow r4;
    Added an ignore "EditLine" button to ConfigWindow display which allows users to type in the name of a buff they want to be ignored/unignored.
    Added an ignore list "Tabled" button to ConfigWindow display which allows users to scroll through the ignore list table and see buffs that are currently ignored.

Update v1.1;
    Added a Click to Target button with a CW toggle default set to off.

Does this track effects that are put up on the mob by use of another spell or ability? For example, when a Psi TK pulls mobs, it puts a debuff on them called Astral Blight. What about warrior bleeds/jagged slice? Is there any conflict with the addon getting confused when you are in a party/raid and other people are putting up the same dots/debuffs that you are?

Yes for one and two, no for three, eros.

It tracks all owner only buffs/debuffs. That's about it. If you do it, it tracks it. Simple. :P

In technical terms, if the buff/debuff passes avatar.GetId() == buff.producer.casterId, it shows it.

Nice - I look forward to using it when I get home! Good work as always :D

Also whats with teh form name change? Why you trying to confuse people?

Are you in the Allods witness protection program?

Actually the change was to prevent confusion in-game. Most people don't recognize my character in game when I start talking about add-ons and just ignore me. :P

When Aura of Health is used the addon shows multiple buffs. If the party is full it will show 6 buffs, which it doesn't need to since they are all on the same timer.

Working as intended. Consider a scenario where someone dies or clicks off their buff, you can pre-empt them asking for a new one by being able to easily see they don't have it. This is not something I'm going to change. Because changing such would have the same effect on debuffs and I prefer being able to see all the debuffs.

I suppose warden's Open Wounds doesn't show up because it's technically applied by the pet rather than the player?

Otherwise nice Add-On, works very well.

Yeh, that's something I can try and add in the future. A stored pet ID that it checks against also, since that's pretty much you as well.
