I do not have a Blue Gear or Gold gear at all even though I created the Addon's folder and now have the minimap addon as well. My file directory reads
C:\Gpotato-Allods\Allods Online\data\Mods\Addons\Minimap
And yet I have no option at the login screen to turn on my addons?

That's strange. If you go up a level, into the Mods folder, what folders do you have in there?

Also, have you tried deleting and recreating the Addons folder, then putting the Minimap add-on back inside?

Also, be sure to unzip the add-on, since Allods cannot read the compressed archive (or at least isn't setup to do so.)

I don't know if this will help anybody, but I found that on my computer,I believe I was following the instructions.
All of them were in their own folder. Then I discovered inside those folders, was another folder(Well call the folder #2)holding all the data or whatever crap it is,for the addon itself.
Now,I had to pull out the folders(folders #2) of the folders I made.I simply used a copy/paste method, then deleted the old folder.
So,basically, there was an extra folder holding the addon, that was not needed, and actually kept me from using the addons. If this is unclear, someone mention it,I'll try to post pictures.

I wouldn't recommend trying this with all addons, as with mine I made sure that all the information was packed nice and neat in separate locations. Destroying my internal folders would actually break the addon that I wrote. So beware trying to move things around like this in all cases.

If you're going to go about using this method make sure to check that there aren't any top level MainForm's or AddonDesc's as these will call the information inside those folders.

Erulogos' advice still holds true, not much changed from the hot fix patch.

All the instructions are still true for first time add-on setup.

Adding add-ons is just a matter of putting them into the Addons folders.

The hotfix did reset the add-on toggle, so folks who previously had add-ons will need to click the gears again.

I am not sure how much of the API has changed in the hotfix. The documentation was not updated, but at least one bit of data is no longer present (timestamps on chat, which is also no longer visible in game, not sure if that is a bug or not though.) So far though, only the clock add-on seemed to be affected so the changes seem to be small, if they go beyond the timestamps at all.
