people... people... these addons are NOT supported. If you can't follow the simple steps that he provided (which work perfectly if you read them and follow them in order) then you should just delete the files you added and play normally. If you don't know what you're doing, don't mess with game files and screw up your game, all you'll end up doing is making yourself have to reinstall.

My suggestion to you if your game isn't working properly is either remove any of the files that you added, or re-read the steps to installing the addons. Or, better yet, wait until the next patch and hope that the addon system is actually implemented into our version and then they will be supported.

Trust me, these addons will not effect your game in any way, if you're messing with the wrong files or putting things in the wrong folders, etc., THEN you'll get problems.

Sorry for double post, didn't want to edit last one because this is an unrelated reply.

To the OP, one suggestion: instead of adding links to various packs and changing the version, I suggest only have one link and the name of the version. I've had people that need help installing the addons tell me that they're downloading all 3 versions and this is screwing a lot of people up. They don't understand to just get the latest version and that this isn't a "patching" system for addons. Just remove the older non-working addon pack links and leave your most up-to-date version up. Cuts down clutter and people won't have to be forced to scroll down and keep reading, because, for some people that's a lot of extra work to make sure they've read everything there is to see.

Also, Make a version 2.1b that includes the most updated version of the working mini-map addon, then you'll be solid gold.

Version 2.5 has been released! Edited the guide, removed the previous releases, and cleaned up the thread a little bit.

Thanks bee for the suggestion.

Thanks for all of the other .LUA devs for giving me some encouragement and help! Hope to see more of you guys start to show!

Novacain, you're supposed to download the files in the first step and put them in your DATA folder, do not make the folders willy nilly, the only folder you're supposed to make is the Addons folder.

And you're supposed to make that in the data/mods folder, which will come with the data pack in the first step...

I really like the new additions to the addon pack, one thing though... the crit announcer seems to not work completely. It's supposed to say "skill: crit#", but usually it just says " :crit#"

On my psi, most times it's just the number but doesn't show the skill, the only time I get to see the skill used it's when i use psychic stab... so I'll see "Psychic Stab: 3203" or whatever... Any idea why it's only showing that skill when it crits and not the rest?

Dude, read the instructions... all of them, not just skipping through. It is perfectly described how it should be done. It works just fine if you follow the directions.
