Piercing Gaze II quest in Siveria

I had to skip this quest because I've tried retaking it and abandoning it far too much to try and do it.

Where you have to use the Magic Resonator on the elementals when they're down to 20%? Yeah the MR doesn't work.

What happened was when I got it down to 30% it says wrong level to hit it or whatever... and so then at 20% the MR just loads the little bar thingy to use and does nothing. Same goes for under 10% too :\ It didn't do anything to it. Didn't kill it, nor spawn another thingy. Happened 5 times after abandoning and retaking, then i just scrapped it. >.>

Worse, I can't take screenies that'll save to AO's screenie folder... I did that and it didn't save.. so I can't show you how it did not work for me x.x

Now that my psi is like lvl 21 I doubt I can 'basic attack' it in fear I'd kill the thing... so I'm stuck without PG2 Dx

Remove your gear, if it still doesnt work, remove runes, and more stuff until you can do it... i reached that quest in my reinc when i was 22 (too much tomes) and still did it fine...

And you need patience for all Piercing Gaze quests, AT one is even worst, just keep trying

You won't get quest loot with every one that you resonate. There's a fair chance that you'll get nothing. It makes the quest even more annoying considering you have to first lower their HP. Keep at it and you'll succeed!

I mean is it natural that after using the MR, nothing happens to the elemental's hp?

When I did it on my main, it kills the elemental and then it either (1) spawns a new elemental or (2) just dies.

On my reinc, it does none of the two. It just sits there nomming my hp away lol

When you use the resonator the elemental gets a buff that lasts 3 secs. You need to kill the elemental while the buff is active for it to spawn the new elemental. The MR does no damage itself. (I recently completed this quest on a reinc so I can confirm the quest is not broken.)

does the quest changed mechanics? ive done this on my main and 1st reinc with ease. on my 2nd reinc it just puts the 3s debuff. i don't remember doing it like this. it should spawn another elemental to kill with full hp and another name.

sorry late response.

but um.. when i did it on my main and some alts before reincs came out, the MR kills the elemental and spawns a new one o.O maybe they changed it? ;o i'll have the whole kill during 3s buff tried out when game's back.
