Scout vs. Mage tips?

Can you give me a few tips vs mages? i can kill low lv runed ones like the one on video, but ive troubles with more "pro" mages.

Well, I would suggest trying to get their barriers down as quickly as possible. Save your stuns until their stone skin is down, then just unleash fury on them.

Mages aren't that tricky, I have bigger problems with summoners since their dots usually finish me off even after the summy is dead. With mages, it's all about those barriers.

Once their stone skin is down, it takes 45s for them to get it back. So in the meantime, you should try to branding shot them and unleash all your dps. Precision shot to the throat is a good spell too for fighting casters, you can prevent the mage from returning attack for 5s with that skill, so it's good to pick up too, regardless of if you're ranged scout or melee.

Also if you get the 30% range bonus (assuming you're ranged scout), kiting is still a viable option. You just need to keep them at the limits of your range, so they can't actually hit you. They get 40 yards range, we can get up to 52 yards, giving us 12 yards of a 'sweet spot'.

stunlock combo them like everyone else..

i suggest kneeshot+blink+bleed+flurry+thrust+bleed+sambo, then if they're still alive, blink after them if they run. if they still are alive and you are on CD, recoil and use smoke cloud, follow up with a tranq and you're golden.

Mages are really easy, as long as they don't find a way to dps you down fast. Mage + Ballad = scary if its the right mage.

Actually no, azuria hits me for surprisingly low considering the runes, i know burd can 2 hit me, azuria needs way more hits (btw, last 5-6 times didnt kill me, only times he could was when i was engaged with other people). I do drop him in about 5 secs (had FH on vid), but im asking tips to fight vs. skilled mages, that i always lose again and again.

Please stay on topic and don't make this a flame war, im asking for tips vs. mages, as soon as i can get videos vs. skilled people ill post, this is the only one vs. mage i have.

Well, as the Silent Warrior said.
Use aoe or frontal aoe attacks for their illusions, then just put caltrops on the ground and spam hits for his barriers, when their barriers are down then you can use a knock down (i dont know if scouts has knock downs) or silence (i think scouts doesnt have silence) or stuns, then they are dead.

Tips for their firewalls or cc's, you have to pm me in game, i dont feel like sharing my pvp art secrets here
