Also, for the new guys among us, transitioning from hub to hub used to be a lot more fun. Instead of flying across the whole hub to the colored wormholes, we'd have to time 'jumps' between the navigator and the driver. It required a lot more coordination, and some actual skill on the part of the navigator. There used to be pro navigators and noob navigators, and is used to be impossible to solo fly. I miss old astral. It gets better with the 51 patch though.

I had just finished my boat and done a handful of tests on it, maybe 3 actual runs on someone else's before they changed it.

Navigating was still easy back in the day.

Memorizing entire sectors since the scanner only showed local jumps that didn't even show the connections was not easy.

Scan for empire allod. Jump to a hub near it. Can we jump home? IDK, lets wait 5 minutes and see if it starts rotating.
