The lack of diversity in the mercenaries makes me sad.

WTB
-warrior/pally tank [whichever the one we get isnt]
-heal summy
-melee scout
-dps summy
-wardens [hire one for aqua refills? omang]
-bards [hire one for 1hr raphsody buff? omang]
-psis [jk who needs psis when tkpull is a reincspell]

The witch is a hexer, which sounds like a summoner, but is obviously a mage since she provides hpbuff. So where are the summoner mercenaries? Or are summies getting hpbuff?

well if you were provided with every range of class then that would decrease a lot of people chance to get into parties because. "why take this low dps character, we can take a mercenary instead". I'm stuck in cradle gear highly lacking parties to get geared up, and I can say that I'm pretty sure this is going to make it even harder for me to get into any reasonable party

GO on your own, buy a full party?

In some cases, it should make finding a party easier if players are willing to work together. It will still be preferable to work with someone you can communicate with using more than just two words.

Mercenaries will allow players who would like to build a party to compete a dungeon with just a few players. Ideally we would still see parties full of players, but for the mid-levels where finding specific roles can be difficult within a reasonable time frame, we'll hopefully see more parties of 2-3 players filling up with Mercenaries.

Our hope is that the feature will provide a means to complete the dungeons, and encourage players to form more parties to do so, as opposed to coming back alone later.

I'm not sure about the pets but the Mercenaries do look the same for both factions. The Leaders you'll speak with to summon them are faction specific though.

:cry: :cry: So its true.... Our tanks will be money making Imps XD actualy I dont mind. I cant wait to hire my first set. Looking foreword to it!

(side note, Not sure if I will actually run astral with them, but my 2nd incarn may need a hand in lower level instances providing there arent very many people on the same Allod I am at the time :) )

let me tell you how i see it. if each Mercenary cost 75 gold and you missing someone like a tank or healer for your party here is how you do it.

step 1: find the person with the best armor and runes.
step 2: split the cost of the Mercenary among your self's. so 75/5 = 15 so each of you give 15 gold to the person with the best armor and runes.
step 3: buy the Mercenary and have fun. :D

Lets say you hire an healer mercenary for Dark Carnival, are the quests in there shared between the bot and the person who summoned it?

And when turning in the quests and interacting with the npc to send us to the bosses, does both, who summoned and the bot, gets ported in together?

If we get slap debuff with an healer bot, is he smart enought to not full heal us when we try to keep our health bellow 60%?

Love the idea but will they eventually be enable to help with normal quests like when u gotta fight the bosses and no one is around ot help?

Witch is a psi.

Healer heals summy/warden pets. (really decent healer imo)
Tank is decent as well.

Crit rate is terrible, horrifyingly terrible. On an allod without debuffs they have about 80% normal hits and they glance more often than they crit.

And that's with full legends+ and level 11 runes in s20.
