The Allods Team is hosting an epic PvP event for the Allods community! The event consists of a raid (23 players) from each faction going head to head against each other in a mighty clash of the titans! Strategy, teamwork, physical terrain, survival, kills – These are all elements that will determine the winning raid.

General Rules:
• This War Zone event is for characters between levels 21-25. (There will be more War Zone events throughout the month for other level brackets).
• Arrive at the following location (shown below) on Tuesday, April 3rd at the following times:

Tensess Server – 2:00 PM PST
Nezeb Server – 3:00 PM PST

Server Clock – http://allods.gpotato.com/

League:

Empire:

• Your designated GM raid leader will randomly invite players to the raid (Maximum of 23 players).
*Due to limited raid spots, arriving at the meeting location does not guarantee event participation. Also, number of raid members from both factions must equal each other. Therefore, if League’s raid only consists of 20 players, Empire’s designated GM raid leader will only invite 20 players to the raid.

• Once the raid is formed, the raid will be teleported to the War Zone. You must stay with your GM raid leader until the battle begins.
• Length of battle will last at least 20 minutes.

War Zone Rules:
List of acceptable/unacceptable items and actions:

•Acceptable:
-Martyr skills
-Players are only allowed to have buffs from other players in the same raid with them
-Players are only allowed to have/use warden potions if it’s cast/made by warden who is in raid with them

•Unacceptable: (Usage will result in disqualification)
-Turrets, Mounts
-Item Shop potions, Alchemy stat potions
-Arriving into the party duel with Divine Foresight or Warden Potion obtained from a player who is not in your party.

• Players must have Flag of War raised at all times. Attacking other players before GMs announce the start of the battle will result in immediate disqualification.
• Upon death, DO NOT resurrect to Purgatory. GMs will resurrect your character. Resurrecting to Purgatory can disqualify you from the rest of the battle.
• Camping the corpse of a player that just died is not allowed. Camping the corpse of a dead player will cause your character to be instantly killed.
• Players are welcome to roam the entire War Zone. Use any terrain that you can access to your advantage!

Point System:
The raid with the most points are the winners!
•1 point is scored each time a member of the enemy raid dies.
•Your GM raid leader will resurrect each member at the location where they died shortly after dying.

Prizes:
• Each member of winning raid receives: 4,000 Myrrh

• Each member of losing raid receives: 2,000 Myrrh

*Event details can be adjusted based on player feedback. Follow the War Zone event thread for any updates.

But... but... people level past 25 in a day or two :| The only viable participants for this competition will be people who re-roll new twinks just for this competition.

Reincs vs new characters isn't fair at all. Up to 6ish extra rubies, up to 50is extra stat points, runes, etc.

Also, how can a "random" selection be fair? Level 21 and level 25 characters have access to very different gear sets. And what about class composition? The raid with the most bards wins? :|

Why not just do an end game PvP event? I was so excited when I saw this thread's title, and then so disheartened  I appreciate that you guys are putting effort into running more events - I really really do. But I see no way an event like this could be successful.

There have been past events that we hosted which only cater to high levels such as Goblinball, Melting GMs, Arena of Death, so we want to allow lower levels an opportunity to participate. We also sometimes see comments about wanting organized PvP at lower levels. Since lower level brackets in Witch's Hollow don't really come up, this will be an opportunity for lower levels to have organized PvP.

I know our endgame community would desire this type of event more so than lower levels, but this works in your favor. Hosting this event that we've never done before this Tuesday will allow more room for changing the flow of the event for when it's the higher levels' turn in case we run into unforeseen issues while running the event.

Yes, incarnations will be stronger than non-incarnations. Unfortunately, there's no way to please everyone. Either non-incarnations will not be happy to go against stronger competition or incarnations will not be happy that they are secluded. I rather not seclude people from the event.

It'll be random in the sense that we're not going to inspect people's gear and assess how strong they are. We also wouldn't allow a full raid of healers to be sent into the War Zone. Ideally it would be nice to host level brackets in differences of two levels but we can only dedicate so much time hosting these in-game events which is how we came up with the level brackets.

I partially responded to this in my first comment about not hosting events just for end-game players which we have done in the past. Whenever possible, we try to host events that more of the community can participate in. Players have been asking for some organized PvP event such as the old World War S event, but this event brings something new and fresh especially with the Yazes Shard terrain that players cannot access on their own.

I think it's an awesome event, judging by the whole type & idea of it.
I think there should be more beginner events like that. Makes people more likely to stay in the game.

But i have a suggestion: Since beginners with high probability are not on forums or don't check out the forums, i would suggest to have one of those red center screen alert in-game messages, so that all those lvl20-30 players get to know about this awesome event.

There should be even regular events for lvl 4-15 players. Those are the players that still havent decided if to play or leave the game yet. Such events will most likely get them attached to the game even more. I remember long time ago..when i was low lvl, there was an event, where ppl had to form a symbol in igsh military district, and you got free Holy Charms for participating. Such community events, where ppl have to work together are really cool, help create bonds among users, will make beginners keep playing the game. I think a regular "create a symbol" in beginner areas would serve this puprpose well. O maybe you could meet them & teleport them to Goblinball isle and have them play Goblinball - THE most fun event of all! New players will be blown away! :D

If you want a Mount Hotkey to immediately mount, open stable, drag & drop your mount icon on a slot! That's it!

Ya, I really appreciate the effort put in to organizing an event like this.

I appreciate the immediate, thorough response. I hope this event works out :| It's going to be hard to balance raids. Can't wait for the endgame version of this.

Thanks for the quick feedback. We know we'll have to host multiple level 51 bracket raids since there are a lot of level 51 players. If the whole War Zone event is successful, it would be great to make this a regular GM-hosted event and allow guilds to sign up specific members to battle against other guilds.

erm you forgot to mention bard buff under your rules section (or is 100% hp buff allowed :p)

ps: rewards could be a bit .. umm .. better :P 4k isnt much, especially considering our relatively low playerbase :/ you gotta motivate people to participate, not sure if 4k myrh will do the job.

4k myrrh is fine for a level 25 character... As a level 51 character, I use up to 100k per day :|

I do want to add that I'm excited to see a PvP event. It's been a while since we had a real GM-organized brawl  If the raids are decently balanced, this will be a blast - especially at high levels.

no need for that event. The guilds which would win are quite obvious. prizes can be directly sent to them.
