Login Event Ending 2/23/12 (More information here)

so don't knock me , Now i am in game, informing everyone (your job, btw) and surprise , surprise, hardly anyone knew!!! if i hadnt of announced to everyone in my guild, and in zone, and world chat, alot of people would have missed out. So go ahead, call me a baby, whiner, spoiled brat, idc.

A) I wasn't knocking you personally, just the people in general who are mad

B) How does informing people already online about the event help the people that are offline to know about the event. I would have thought the forums would be the best place for that... which is where the announcement was.

I just love how gPotato can do an event that gives some REALLY nice stuff away for essentially free and people STILL find a way to complete [I Have a Potty Mouth] them about it.

What if for some reason you dont send all the prizes tothe owner and cant remember the exact time helogged in those days ? and he didnt took screenshots since you said you'ld be takin care of those details ?

FREE WOLF MOUNT
For those who didn't get a chance to win a mount, you should go to the Atoll. You are able to get 15 gold coins each day. Do that for 3,5 days and you will have enough to buy a wolf mount from the event NPC.

What I think about it - skip it if you don't want to read.
You may not have gotten a Lion but a mount is still better than nothing.. I know a lot people who did call me a jerk because I got a bit mad that players got the chance for a free lion mount, when I paid 7.000 gold, but it's actually funny that the people now get mad and qq that they didn't get it. It seem like your own fault and who is it that really has to be mad? The people who BOUGHT it and now it's not worth rly much, or the people who had a chance to get it for FREE? Just sayin'.. Actually I do not mind that mount give away anymore, I just want to get the 2 mounts from Atoll to fill out my stable, sad I just figured it out yesterday. Peace and out.

I know, right? And the information wasn't exactly hidden - it was up on the main page and then there was a huge thread of questions in the forums. It seems like if people really cared that much about getting the stuff (to rant and rave on the forums) that they would keep up with the threads/announcements about the contest.

Also, I don't have a mount yet, and I'm hoping that everything went through alright so I can get a mount. If not, I'll send in a ticket and try to get it worked out, and if it doesn't, that's fine. I'm not going to scream about how awful gpotato is, etc. It's a free contest, anyway. Not like I'm out anything.

I managed to get an hour each day on the patch day and maintenance day... Now I have to do two more days? I hope I get extra prizes? I 've been getting up early the whole event to ensure I got my time in.

Now we need evidence to prove we played... should of seen this coming from the surveys that I never get credit for.

This whole post just leaves me thinking I'm not going to receive my prizes (becuase I didn't record videos of all my play times nor write them down). Somethings should be mentioned in the future events if you plan to make another one like this.

You expect to get extra rewards on top the already generous ones for playing the game on a day that won't yield any items?

And no you do not need evidence to prove you played, if there is a problem it would help to have evidence. Also the surveys have nothing to do with Gpotato if you didn't get the Gpots it's the surveyors fault, most of those are buggy anyway.

Yes they said they would take the maintenance day into account and possibly the patch day, however if they had planned to make everyone do it for another two days after they shouldn't of put the end date as the 21st, Not to the 23rd I don't feel that I should have to do an extra two days on top of what I have done. and while yes I tend to play everyday anyway I'm normally not playing a full hour I might just pop on do dailies and be done in 10 min.

The prizes are to draw people into playing more and enjoying the game without having to spend buckets of money. kudos to them for doing it but to tack on two more days to an event that they stated the end date on and only posting it in the forums makes me think they didn't want to give out some of the top prizes. Since a lot of people don't frequent the forums. I know that three people I know in real life wouldn't of gotten the prizes if I hadn't seen this post and told them because they never use the forums.

The poster above does make a good point...the original post regarding this event says:

• Login event starts Tuesday, Feb. 7th until Tuesday, Feb. 21st.

• You must be logged in ONE FULL HOUR everyday starting February 7th until February 21st in order to be eligible for the prize on the final day of the event.

It doesnt say the 23rd or that the event might be extended due to the maintenance...all it says is that the 14th and possibly the 15th may not count. It can be confusing. Not everyone reads the forums everyday, and the announcement of this event was made quite a bit before the event happened. The announcement that it was being extended to the 23rd and that the 14th and 15th wont count at all towards the 14 days was just announced on Monday.

Again, my opinion is that the 14th and 15th should still count for people who were able to log in for them. The extra 2 days that the event is extended to would be an extension for the people who could not log in. Basically, to get the last prize, you would have had to log in for 14 out of 16 days...doesnt really seem like THAT big of a deal/change and it would seemingly make everyone happy.

i leave town the 23rd first thing in the morning and up till then i have been on everyday... so i get the shaft now ... i am not complaining since; who cares about these prizes.. what concerns me is; i am a New player to Allods and i came from another "free to play game" and i do spend a good bit of money on games and it scares me knowing im spending money on a game who seems to change things at will " some things should not be changed and if so should be done with consideration" just as easy as i left the last game i can leave this... still waiting to c how this game plays out but im getting concernd

I also said we are giving some consideration. So once the prizes are sent and we post that here on the forums, then send your story and information to the email I listed and we'll take a look. We're not trying to stop someone from getting a mount or the other top prizes. We are going to try to help people.

i like to say yes i am concerned about this game and if i continue to play or not; only future will tell ... the thing that i have noticed more then all the down faults is the GM /support /and moderators of this game are beyond good... i have been playing mmo games for long time and all of them have there faults. The ticket system and the forums go unanswered; yet allods is doing a great job at responding "fixing everyones problem is impossible" but acknowledging of there problem is spot on with you guys and i tip my hat to ya

and in my past post i wasn't flaming or qqing; was just stating, i knew what was originally posted cuz when event was announced i looked at calendar knowing i was leaving and was like cool i barly fit it in...
