But the rank isn't just about start date, it's time played in between (and yes I know that those posting in here have also played a lot).

Also given that your account creation date shows on your forum posts I don't think they have an issue with not knowing how old your account is.

eh true i guess its just annoying because i've seen alot of peeps who started ages after me getting it some of which i helped do like cb, utt, etc when lv 40s could still enter it lol kinda strange.

Well obviously you guys didn't clock in enough hours.

I've played for so long it makes my brain ache, and yet I didn't get the reward, but compared to the few people who HAVE got the bonus I'm really not surprised. The few players who earned it I've always seen online. I bet they'd be online even if an EMP wiped out the entire global power grid. They have back-up generators.

There are still a lot of us ancient players who still have not gotten it, but there are a lot more newer players getting it. One 51 I saw was in greens because he was stuck on the trials, which means he probably wasnt 46 pre-patch, and he had veteran. Wth?

Well.....I have seen far more than a "few" that have it - and... I even know someone who's beerbot alt has it, the one that was created a good 6+ months after I started and was only leveled up and used to distribute AV's. Tell me how that makes sense.

I still don't see why they can't give out ranks based on when the character was created...I've seen so many players that have been playing since February 2010 and they only have soldier.

i enjoy that all my little alts that have maybe been played for like 1 hour to get off evermeet have soldier. They totally hit the 6 month playing mark.
