Excuse my idea if it seems noobish, but if they can merge a server, can't they also split a server?

Then what would be the point of merging the servers in the first place.

That's one of the arguments against the server merge. It's not that great of a long term solution.

Well maybe... I guess it's to get more people to get into Allods. Both servers combined will not reach max capacity... But if they ever manage to get the population high enough to where they NEED a new server, then if they split the server into two, the both servers will be at a moderate capacity. That will be about twice as big as the servers are now, individually... Right? Or am I just going on about something that makes no sense? xD

yea but friends and guilds could be teared apart. that aint no option. the people will not allow for that kinda situation probably.
