Guild mergers are rocky, prone to failure, and often result a fracture somewhere along the line. Valiance was a risky move that I cannot say was a 100% success, I've lost a lot of (some may say arguably) good people in over a year that were with me from the beginning but split off their own way. Some merged back later (several people in Invalid), some left permanently (Snakeshadow), some created their own guild (Third Faction). At the end of the day, focusing all of your effort on making up the "perfect" super guild isn't the main thing in your way. What's important is a mutual level of respect between yourself and other players. I've said it once and I've said it again, but if Empire actually worked with each other, they could accomplish AMAZING things. Instead half the time I take up Doromy I get to watch you folks world chat yourselves into petty grudges. Then you come to WH or AoD or MI and shoot yourselves in the foot.

Until the majority of Empire can put on their big boy sunglasses and Deal With It, trying to propose a serious merger is just going to end in a bigger fractionation of your side. You manage that, though, and maybe something could be worked out. At least that's my opinion from this side of the fence. Feel free to say me wrong.

The thing everyone is not considering, why empire does so poorly, I will give an example, way back when reborn was at it's finest it was made up with the vast majority of its members being NA and EST some from CST and PST, which made AC kind of late for the EST members not that great for the CST members and decent time for it's PST members. Which made it's raiding time very flexable and not so much for it's overseas players but they always attended.
Now with such a drop in population and loss of veteran NA players that actually made a differnce IE; not being over runed/geared noobs has greatly increased over the past several months. This can be said for both sides really.
At the present time the gap is so huge that say a player in lvl 10 runes with a mix of myth 45 and some 47 that can hit 120k+ in a raid setting, as were another in 10's that is full 47s can only get to about 70k, as were a player in mediocre gear consisting mostly of epic and some legend/myth 45 and lvl 6's can hit, defines a differnce in ability to play a class and be an "assest" to one of these so called "superguilds".
With all that being said, it is far and few between now to make something like this a reality for thier is not that many "elite" that can pull off the same timezones that a NA based server requires to have succesful AC's, and would have to be a huge part of dedication to its members to raid early mornings for both whichever raid times were agreed upon, and for early morning AC always for it's overseas members.
The fantasy of making a so called superguild a reality is most likely an improbability for these reasons.

Then you obviously don't know much about original reborn, the thing with that group of players was, when it came down to getting something done everyone could put thier differences aside and get along. You have to have love for you guild and what it represents and sacrifice whatever you have to, to make it great, regardless of who is in it with you. Without that you will have people leaving over the pettiest things, which makes up a huge percent of the empire veteran population now a days.
That or just put up with it so you can get your gearz. LOLZ

I agree with 95% if not 100% of what you said.

I'm still unaware of the big hatred towards each other on Empire.
All that stuff happened a long time ago from what I gather, yet people still hold grudges? Over a video game? lulwut? /confused

People constantly bicker that they can not progress in the game because of all the hatred, of certain guilds camping, or not being able to run astral/raid with a single person, and so on.
The thing is, if everyone would just shut the heck up about their petty "omg!#! 18-22 months ago, your guild/person ganked me. I shall forever hate you" then players could actually progress in the game, and more players would be able to enjoy the game without constantly feeling like an open target.

I understand a "Third Faction" type of guild on Empire would not work, but at least be able to be respectful to each other lol. I personally think its time to grow up over little issues in a video game, and start PLAYING the game.

How can you take one piece of my statement to mean that I know nothing about Reborn? I've been playing this game just as long as you have, Autho. I KNOW Reborn. I am not saying the Reborn of THEN was a dividing influence... though if you really wanted I could bring up loads of "fun times" dealing with Genoer. I'm saying right now at the present moment, ya'll can't play nice to save your life. This isn't specific to Reborn or any other particular Emp guild. I'm biased towards Chaos because I have closer connections to that guild than others. But I will say that I've seen and heard things from just about every major guild leveled at every other major guild that is on-par with a Presidential primary. It ain't good for ya, guys.
