Or

They understand that when there is demand on something that is in infinite supply they can maximize profits by offering these items at a reasonable cost and will stand to profit much more as a result. After all there is no cost to these items, merely a price.

Reasonable! I am hoping that your second scenario comes about before the worst case. I don't want this game to die, I want the Dev to look at it as something more then the generic flavor of the month f2p cash cows. Allods has the potential for unseen staying power in a f2p game, yet the people in charge need to look at that long term and plan for longevity, not a quick buck. Hopefully the community is not ignored and neglected as is the case in most f2p.

They could offer a P2P server.

Are you serious? These are not little children running this game... they understand what perfume is and does, they understand how important of a game mechanic it is. They know people will NEED it endgame, and they choose to charge $13.50 for 10 hours of this buff. So $1.35/hour of PvP or RAIDING... I'm sorry but your calls for being reasonable are ludicrous considering the people asking for $1.35/hour are NOT being reasonable at all.

Well, I'll see you guys back in P2P MMOs. No sense in playing a game run by greedy devs, which is sad because I had about 15 people that will be switching back with me. And since you get FoD even on rez? Meh...

$13.50 for 10 hours of raiding or $15 for an entire month and all the bags/content/mounts you can ask for?

Making it commonlaw now: If you buy something from the cash shop before they fix it, we will find where you live.

Just feels like walking into a homeless shelter for a "free meal" then you sit down they bring you a bowl of soup and tell you that it'll cost $20 for a spoon to eat your hot soup with. Then you have two options:

a) Shove soup in face, receive horrendous burns and an unpleasant experience
b) Buy $20 soup, but now soup tastes bad because of how much the spoon cost, so you'll never come back again

Or my favorite

c) Other people in homeless shelter band together and complain about spoon prices, ending in a 75% price cut, which even though still expensive at $5 for a spoon, still ALOT easier to stomach!

Hehe, I like how even though everybody was fighting me saying I'm the only one this is going to turn away from the game 98% of the voters as of this post think the cash shop is overpriced... great marketing plan gpotato. Hope you enjoy the 2% who remain...

To be honest, I wholeheartedly agree. I feel Gpotato are almost misleading new users to the game who do not realize the use of perfumes or the need until it is too late. Personally, if I had spent months on a character when I knew little about the game when I started and I suddenly found a need to purchase unreasonably priced buffs just to access end game content - I would be fuming.
