difficulty progression

Postby enumas » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:10 pm

the difficulty progression in this game is absurd. i have tried 3 classes now and it seems that unless your a pure dps class/spec then it will take 5 times longer to complete a quest if you can even finish it. I am currently leveling a healer specced full healing and killing a mob 2 levels higher than me is next to impossible. why should it take half my mana and 5 minutes to kill 1 mob? why can't i enjoy the game as a full healer both solo and in a group? my stats are all balanced and my gear is current with some even above average. this is very frustrating and if its a sign as to whats ahead why bother. :?

I have a hard time believing that if your stats are balanced and you are doing things right that you would have a hard time with the game. Usually if you are having a hard time with the game, you're doing something wrong.

I for one find the challenge this game offers refreshing. It's way more fun than some "other games" that simply make it lolezmode to level to max and the game just doesn't present anything difficult to overcome.

As to your original point, yes, leveling as a FH can be slower, but it's doable. I know I did it, but it required a lot of patience.

Something I would like to add here. Levels are pretty huge scaled in this game. Your stats will allways show You VS a Equal levled.

Example: You have 30% Crit Chanse on a mob 1-2levels above that might be 10%.
Example2: You got 15% Crit vs you a mob 1-2above might have 35% VS you = GG.

Specialy later on like in "Asse-Teph" the Gear Dif between a lv 23 and a 25 might actually scale with over 10-20k More Hitpoints. Gear&Level in this game is dramatic.

So my advice is trying to fight mobs on your own level, this is something I noticed when I played Allods facing something above you is HARD.

Tip: Before leaving each zone try to grab the "Reputation gear" this will help you dramatic in the next zone.

There is your mistake. This game is made so that you can't do very well against mobs higher lvl than you.

Artocys is right. Unlike other games you may have played in the past, Allods Online is not designed to take on mobs that are a higher level than your level. It's possible to take on mobs 1 level higher than you although it depends on your gear.

Possibly poor use of fatigue? Did you also complete the rep quests?

Are you playing on the Empire? If so, which zone did you go to after you completed all quests around Nezebgrad?

Igsh Military District (south of Nezebgrad) should be the next zone to level after Nezebgrad.
