Worth making Mage now?

I hear a lot of rumors that mages got nerfed bad and they are bad at pvp and not that great in DPS and stuff, is it true?

I wanna make a 2nd reinc soon and I'm struggling between Warrior and Mage, I mean is the Mage the better DPS class? Is he better in PvP?

In general how high is your DPS on the dps meter addon? Do you usually top it?
How in PvP? you find it easy to kill other classes or a living hell? ^^

Please answear I really wanna start that 2nd reinc soon and need to choose! xD

the mage is the highest dps class in the game now. Pvp is also fine.

No. As long as they have time to cast they can destroy anything and since reflections can't be destroyed by an AoE in one hit anymore they can even last a while when their barriers are down.

They feel a lot like what the scout used to be before patch - glass cannons. Still better though thanks to reflections and barriers.
