what about Tornado rubies?
any one tried them in pvp? are they useful or a waste?

i sacrificed the "channeled lightning" rubies for tornado R2 + power explosion R1 rubies
im a caster/ SP, and i think Tornado and power explosion are more important for pvp
so, is that wise

I did a lot of testing with caster rubies when I had a few FODs. My tornado would tick about 250k crits with 5 stacks of vortex. My lightning would be about the same, so when I had the ability to go uninterrupted I'd pop vortex since it's more mana friendly.

edit: it also was pretty useful for the slow in some cases.

yeah i was thinking of it as a slowing skill more than looking at the damage it inflicts
as u know our strategy in pvp is based on not being reached by the enemy, so i was thinking of getting all the rubies that can slows the enemy and gimme time to get as far as possible
