I have two questions

1) How does melee do with multiple mobs? What's an aoe rotation that could be used?

2) I keep hearing that melee scouts can off-tank. What are the most important rubies / talents for this?

1. You got fan of knives which is an arc aoe attack, low cooldown so it can be spammed, and fairly nice damage.
Also you can grab the tesle arrows (r1 or r2 is enough) and use them inbetween fan of knives, tho you gonna have problem after using 3 arrows.
For cc you got caltrops which is awesome for large pulls.

2. Armor, endurance, parry, dodge, damage reduction from rubies for our blink, also stamina and healing receive bonus rubies.

if you don't outgear your party I wouldn't recommend tanking.

1. Scouts are and will always be a single target-class. We do have some aoes (xad/kanian racial, cleaves), but always try to hit for one target only.

OMG Loving the build I have never been beat in a fair PvP I have actually killed some reinc too.
I just got my level 4 rune set today and even with those lowbie ones I'm unstoppable

yeah i like it nice build i think its perfect add patience if you have diary or gt rubies then its super fine

Hmm today i checked all scout guides. Why i dont see a single build with willpower rubies?
700+ willpower with good gear + 50% less fear blind etc effects is op. Avarage summies healers cant even fear/blind me.

Any pvp build especially melee build without willpower rubies is fail build for me
