Mage - does great DPS, very easy to play, good survive ability and solo ability. Find a build on Mage forums
Other classes although great, would benefit greatly from first acquiring some PVP gear in end game before attempting the PvE aspect of allods
WH can hardly be considered PvP gear unfortunately.
Did i Say WH? <- No
What do u consider PVP gear? you enjoy taking out 8.9k velhurru people to a4? Nothing wrong with WH gears, compensates for people who can't run a4
PvP is a major part on this game and when you said " aquire some PvP gear first" I assumed you are reffering to soldiers of fortune gear since they are the most obvious PvP related gear, altough this is up for debate since you need to do PvP eitherway if you have to level up l4 gear so uhh.
Can you upgrade your l4 gear effectively only through PvE? No. You need to get realgar from AC's or amalgam from MI/JC to upgrade your gear, so I ask you, is l4 gear really PvE gear?
You just told him he needs PvP gear first before trying endgame PvE, that is all

. The single PvE gear I can think of endgame is craddle and I consider it sufficient for l4 basics. There is really no need for soldiers of furtune rep. gear besides probably that " aw that really shiny weapon I really want to have".
To the OP, returning player from few months, you were playing bard back in 3.0, yes it was OP then but it got a slight nerf now in 3.2. You got a WoL in your mail and a WoD in your item shop bag ( though this be gone by now due to timer on it, idk ).

This is an appropiate advice, mages are easy to understand for a newbie and also summies are still OP to lvl since they are that jack of all trades will heal + tank + bla bla. Try to level each class to at least lightwood to get a hang on how each class works.
Morrgoth. Quit.
