What classes are needed for PVE (dungeons, etc)?

Hi, I'm a new player.

I'd like to know what classes are needed for PVE dungeons at any lvl and endgame dungeons and raids and stuff like that. Besides healer and tank, ofc. I like Mage and Warden the most but I don't want to be useless. I just came from an MMO where casters were totally unwanted so now I'm paranoid, lol.

PS: I'm not fond of PVP in MMOs, so feel free to suggest classes that suck at PVP but great / needed at PVE!

Basically every classes are needed. If you know how to play your toon I'm sure that you will have no problems to find groups

Every Class is needed. You really think there would be a class that couldn't go on instances/GT/AC, etc? ;P
Mages and Wardens are not useless. You will be useless though if you utterly fail at your class though. Just because you play a needed class, does not mean you will be needed. You need to understand how to play your class and current spec.
Which MMO was that?

This Game is oriented around PvP.. If your not a fan of PvP, I highly suggest you keep looking for a new game.
Only PvE end-game content is GT, and Astral.
EVen whilst leveling from level 23/24+ you will be in contested zones, which contain quests for both factions, meaning you will pvp.

I would just like to say that every class is needed for PvE, I can understand where you are coming from when you say "certain classes were not taken" (in my words) because when I
migrated to Allods I came from a game where any pet class was frowned upon. Although any class will be taken for Astral/GT/Dungeons/Heroics/Etc there are SOME classes abilities that everybody loves - for example there is the Psionicist's Telekinetic Pull or the Wardens Aquas... Warden, Psi and Mage are by FAR the most interesting and probably the funnest class to play in the whole game (in my opinion), of course all of the melee players will hate me for saying that .

While leveling - Most of the zones from level 24+ will be PvP zones so you cant really avoid it. This is just stupid in my opinion since I am the worst PvPer you haver EVER met I will guarantee it. Well I either naturally suck or because I lag like crazy whenever I come into combat .

By the way, You speak great english for somebody who doesnt speak it as a native language! If you cant understand what I am saying (spelling wise) it may be because Im in Australia and we spell things differently to the Americans OR because I am just really sucky at spelling!

So, there is open PVP. Well, I'll try my best to win if I get attacked but I would never attack anyone randomly, lol, that's so rude. Maybe I can improve myself to get better at PVP or something. x_x I like this game and don't want to run away just because there's PVP, I like challenges. xD

Right now I'm lvling my Warden (caster + pet), I love it, it looks like a versatile class with self heals and decent damage.

@volarin: I don't think I can mention other games in this forum, lol, but it starts with 'Perfect'. In that MMO you're only needed if you're high DPS melee that has 5 attacks per second (it costs either hundreds of dollars to get that or months / years to farm the money for it ingame). Casters can't reach 5aps so they are useless, and I love casters. I was a Cleric there, but they are also getting unwanted because 5aps can solo anything without a healer (with a buff that gives HP when they attack)! I think many people guessed which game I'm talking about. ;P I used to LOVE it back in 2009 but now it's an exteremly imbalanced and messed up game, sadly. Not to mention, people can get to max lvl in a few days or weeks thanks to power lvling and the devs won't do anything about it. All of my friends and guildmates left, so yeah. : /

Seriously???? I think we need a few more decent healers, every Warrior/Pally I see (and I see like 15 around my level a DAY) are MOSTLY tankers! Of course there are the occasional DPS Warriors and god forbid a Support Pally but the majority of them are Tanks.

But healers, Thats another story. All of the healers I meet now are Caster Healers with maybe a r1 heal to stay alive. BTW - If any healers are reading this, What level do you get the res now? And is it by a quest or something? Sorry, Havent played a healing class since WoW.

Are you only talking about leveling healers?
I think the OP is referring to what specs are needed end-game, not for leveling.
For End-game there is quite a lot of Healers, but fewer Tanks.
For End-Game, Monarchist is accurate.

Think! Why would anyone that was planning on soloing most of the game want to be a full healer spec while leveling up? You need damage and survivability to solo; healing yourself endlessly would make leveling take ages.
