What should I pick!!?? (HELP)

Hello, I'm new to the game. I'm just wondering what class/race/(Empire or League)/ and what server to go on. I'm sure most of this doesn't make a difference but I'm just wondering what would be the easiest for a rookie to play. Right now I'm experiencing some FPS issues (I believe that's the problem haha) so it's kinda difficult to play. Also I was wondering I think that each race/class combination gets like a special ability or something when do they learn that.

Server doesn't matter since they are supposed to be merged with maintenance tonight(unless something goes wrong again this week).

There are 9 archetypes with the specific race/archetype combinations creating the classes. The differences between the classes of an archetype is 1 skill and how they look. That 1 skill doesn't make that much of a difference latter in the game.

As to which archetype to choose it is hard to make a recommendation without knowing your play style.

Factions are cosmetic unless you already have friends playing the game(since you can't PT with other faction). League has a middle ages fantasy feel to it while Empire has a more industrial tech feel.

There are nine archetypes actually (the bard is the newest archetype). The bard is often considered overpowered, due to the archetype's novelty.
